Sting Set To Return 2020
Written by adminVibe on November 28, 2020
Jamaica’s most anticipated stage show at one time was Sting. Two of the most historic clashes in history happened at Sting. Ninja Man once upon a time battled Shabba Ranks lyrically on the Sting stage. Bounty Killer then met Beenie Man on stage to settle the score at Sting.
Sting, has been referred to as the Greatest One Night Reggae Show on Earth. After a four year hiatus it’s back!, Sting 2020 will take on Boxing Day December 26, 2020. The last staging of Sting was in December 2015. Through the years there has only been rumors of the return of Sting. Now in 2020 the rumors are longer that. Sting founder Isaiah Lang (head of Supreme Promotions) told the Jamaica Star back in January that the big show will be back in 2020.
Because of the current pandemic, the 2020 return of Sting will be converted to online concert. Sting 2020 will be held as an online pay-pay-view event. We managed to get a poster was released on social media but we not not sure if the poster will reflect the actual line-up.
Buju Banton was mentioned, according to Isaiah Laing he had plans to book Gargamel but he is missing on the poster. Laing told the Jamaica Gleaner in August: “I have approached Buju so far and I am confident he will be coming back to us. Things aren’t finalised yet but we are in discussions“.
