“Chin” Shows Support Support and Love To Rickey Trooper and His Family

First and foremost we at Reggae Vibe Media wanna send a heart of love to Ricky Trooper. As someone who has greatly appreciated the talent of Trooper as a selector throughout the years, it makes it more heartbreaking to know this happened to him of all people.

We’ve hailed up Garfield “Chin” Bourne for a very long time for the different things he has achieved, and continues to do. Once again we have to hail him up for bringing this event together to give fans a chance to show Trooper their love, and support for him, and his family as they go through these tragic moments in their lives.

“Chin” put out the call for the sound system fraternity to support the celebration of life for Ricky Trooper’s daughter Brianna McKoy at their Sound Chat Media studio and office in Queens, New York, on Saturday, May 13. Plenty showed up to support including “Johnny” from Bodyguard Sound System, I-Octane, and Lady Ann just to name a few.

“I truly want to keep the sound system industry united by all means and demonstrate that we need to be there for each other in difficult times. Sound clash is a game we play, but life is the reality we live. We can’t continue to mix up the two, as our rivalries are solely for entertainment purposes. Our real lives should be filled with respect and admiration for each other’s contributions,” Garfield “Chin” Bourne told the Jamaica Observer.
