BET HIP HOP AWARDS REGGAE CYPHER

Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Skip Marley, Original Koffee, and Shenseea bring the vibes to the 2020 Hip Hop Awards with their Reggae Cypher. It’s been since the creation of Hip-Hop that Reggae has always played it’s closest relative. One could say the two have evolved together through the past four decades.

This year featured a few of Jamaica’s top talents. Shenseea, and Skip Marley are the fresh faces that have made their mark early on the Reggae industry. Skip Marley being the grandson of the Legendary Bob Marley he’s already facing expectations. So far he’s handled this business very well, moving at a steady pace. Shenseea has the highest upside I think. She could be the Caribbean’s answer to J-Lo, and Shakira.

As for the Original Koffee she’s in her own lane, top speed unlike anything I’ve seen. While the rumors spread, and people speculate, the young princess just keeps making major moves. True Jamaicans love her and right now she’s sparked the pride of young people on the island. She deserved to be in the cypher as one of the best lyricist in Jamaica right now.

Beenie Man after loosing his mother, and dealing with a very hard burial for the whole family it was good to see him getting a chance to enjoy the fruits of his long career at such a tragic time for him. Bounty Killer I’ll just say respect to the General.

Now with all who made it into the cypher there’s always those who should have made it. I’ll say this Kabaka Pyramid by far is one of the best lyricist out of Jamaica especially when your talking about Hip Hop style. But here’s the thing, and this is just my opinion. Many of you may agree… Kabaka is not as closely connected as Skip Marley is to one of the all-time best selling artist ever Bob Marley. Sex sells and if your sexy as Shenseea, and can hold a note, and ride the riddim there’s no question the spot is locked to represent for the ladies. In this “what have you done for me lately world” it’s all about what your doing now. Koffee has been the hottest for the last two years so respectfully she deserves the spot. Now when you have a resume like Beenie Man and Bounty Killer it’s a simple choice.

Overall through everything going on in the world it was a very good look! I’m quite sure it was a very challenging trod to get this done with all the regulations and guidelines everyone has to follow so maximum respect to all who made it possible.
