Sevana to face the court on hazardous driving charge

A judge will decide today if the fatal road accident case involving reggae singer Sevana will go to trial.

Sevana, whose given name is Anna Blake, is due at the Westmoreland Parish Court this morning, where a judgment on whether or not the case will be tried in the circuit court will be made. On December 3, 2021, the most recent preliminary hearing was held.

Following an accident last year, the 30-year-old musician was charged with causing death through hazardous driving. According to police, she was driving her Honda City along the Scott Cove main road in Whitehouse, Westmoreland, when it collided with a Honda Fit traveling in the opposite direction. Ordia Cordiel, a passenger in the Honda Fit, suffered serious injuries and was sent to the Black River Hospital. Cordiel passed away on May 30th. Sevana was charged by the police on June 1 and has already appeared in court three times.

Sevana was recently seen on social media celebrating the fact that Mango was featured in the ABC television series Big Sky, which is “a twisting crime drama [that] follows two private investigators as they solve crimes in the small town of Big Sky, Montana.” She uploaded a scene from the episode in which Mango is playing and the main female character is dancing to it. The series is based on C.J. Box’s “The Highway” a series of books starring Katheryn Winnick and Kylie Bunbury.
