#RVSports – After the defending national champs Clemson got out to an early lead in the second half the Tigers of LSU turned it on and never looked back pulling out a 28-17 lead at the half.
After a MVP performance from LSU QB Joe Burrow the defense held off any attempt from Clemson to get back in the game giving LSU the 42-25 victory in “the big easy” New Orleans. Congratulations to Coach Orgeron, Joe Burrow, and the LSU Tigers.
As the celebrating begins I still wanna send condolences to the family and friends of Carley McCord, the daughter-in-law of LSU co-offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger, sheย died in a plane crash Dec. 28, her flight bound from Louisiana to Atlanta to watch the Tigers in the Peach Bowl.ย She was 30.ย
As big of a win this was for the Tigers, it was even more meaningful after a tuff loss from the New Orleans Saints who were eliminated in a close game again this year on another questionable call just a few days ago. Spirits have lifted even more with the news that number one overall pick Zion Williamson is set to make his NBA debut this week for the Pelicans. Zion Williamsonย was initially given a window of six-to-eight weeks to return from a torn right lateral meniscus. It has now been ten weeks since Williamson’s surgery and it now appears the wait is over and he’s even closer to making his NBA debut.
The city also has another reason to celebrate as Mardi Gras nears New Orleans is the #partycapital of the world right now. Just to give our audience an example of the kinda fun that is going on in New Orleans I’ll share a true story. I just witnessed a man in the streets of New Orleans with a huge stuffed LSU tiger on his head! ๐
