Rastafarian Nzinga King Allegedly Trimmed By Police While In Custody

Written by on August 11, 2021

(Reggaevibemedia.com) – 19-year-old Rastafarian empress Nzinga King was apprehended by Four Paths Police in Clarendon Jamaica July 22nd, 2021 on charges of disorderly conduct which holds a maximum penalty of a fine of $6000 or 10 days in jail.

While in police custody Nzinga King was allegedly forcibly trimmed by a policewoman of the Four Paths Police Dept. in Clarendon whom has yet to be identified.

Police Commissioner, Major General Antony Anderson, has ordered an immediate probe into the claims being made; the results of which will be made public.

A team of investigators from Inspectorate and Professional Standards Oversight Bureau (IPROB) has been immediately dispatched to Clarendon to investigate the claims made by the women and to objectively determine the facts surrounding this matter.

Attorney Isat Buchanan, who is representing this 19-year-old Rastafarian woman, who alleges she was trimmed by a policewoman while in custody, says they will be taking the matter to the courts.

As of 08/11/21 Anthony King father of 19-year-old Nzinga whose locks were allegedly trimmed while in custody of the Four Path Police Station in Clarendon is adamant that it is โ€œjudgment or justiceโ€ where his daughter is concerned. King was a part of a demonstration staged on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, opposite the police station. (Below)

The drama does not end here though. Reports are now that three persons whom Nzinga King communicated with, asked not to be identified, stated that Nzinga King told them “She cut her dreadlocks because she seen some white fungus growing in her hair”.

Even though it’s some “Word on the streets” and not the actual facts, it could have some truth to it. One thing for sure it makes it even more of a sticky situation especially when you have the Rastafarian Fraternity coming out to support the situation.

During peaceful protest by members of the Rastafarian faith at Mandela Park in Kingston, Jamaica Chronixx was one of the most powerful voices out of the many that came forward to show support for the situation.

Seeing the kinds of people that are coming forward to show support for this young sisteren has reached a very serious level, which brings me all the way up to the beloved Prime Minister of Jamaica Mr. Andrew Holeness.

The Prime Minister of Jamaica has now come forward and responds to the situation which shows just how serious things are at this point.

With all that has been said and done, now the country of Jamaica and Rastafarian believers around the globe have to wait for an outcome of investigations into this very serious situation.
