(ReggaeVibeMedia.com) After years of closed doors, the Unruly Boss is finally stateside. Jamaican dancehall superstar Popcaan, born Andrae Sutherland, has secured his United States visa and traveled to Florida for the first time, a breakthrough confirmed on October 11, 2026, that could reshape the landscape for dancehall in America.

The road here was long. In January 2023, Popcaan took to social media to publicly question why he could tour the world yet remained unable to enter the United States, and an anticipated appearance at Atlanta's Red Bull Culture Clash back in 2017 fell through when travel documents were not processed in time. Through it all, his music built a massive American audience through recordings and collaborations alone, a fanbase he can now finally face in person.

His sister and team member Annalecia "Unruly Squid" Sutherland called it a huge moment in his career, noting that the team is putting in work on a new album dropping soon. With the visa secured, the conversation now turns to what comes next: U.S. tours, festival stages and the kind of live presence that turns a streaming audience into a movement. For dancehall, one of its biggest global stars just unlocked the world's largest music market.
