Kingston's Legendary Uptown Mondays Celebrates 25 Years of Sound System Culture

(ReggaeVibeMedia.com) — Kingston's legendary weekly street dance Uptown Mondays marks 25 years on Monday, October 19, at 35A Constant Spring Road — a quarter-century milestone for one of dancehall's most enduring institutions.

Presented by Magnum Tonic Wine, the anniversary celebration features live performances from Bounty Killer and Gyptian, hosted by Latonyastyle, with selections from Stone Love, World Team, DJ Mental and Game Changaz.

For 25 years, Uptown Mondays has been a cornerstone of Kingston nightlife and a living celebration of sound system culture — the foundation dancehall was built on. The anniversary is more than a party; it's a tribute to the selectors, sounds, and streets that keep the culture alive.
