(ReggaeVibeMedia.com) Thanksgiving weekend in New Jersey just got a whole lot hotter. On Friday, November 27, 2026, reggae and dancehall giants Capleton and Tarrus Riley will share the stage at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, as the RoadBlock Radio Concert Series brings an evening of pure Jamaican music energy to Prudential Hall.
Capleton, "The Fireman," brings more than three decades of commanding stage presence, from dancehall anthems like "Tour" and "Wings of the Morning" to Grammy-nominated albums like Still Blazin'. Tarrus Riley, "Mr. Singy Singy," brings the soulful counterpoint, with beloved hits including "She's Royal," "Stay With You" and "Beware." Fire and feeling, rhythm and melody, all on one stage in downtown Newark.
The concert begins at 8:00 PM at NJPAC, 1 Center Street, Newark. Tickets went on sale October 9 and are moving, with tickets starting from $65. For the New Jersey and New York reggae family, this is the Thanksgiving weekend plan: dinner with family, then a night out with two of Jamaica's finest voices.
