Buju Banton has officially landed in Jamaica after 10 years in custody. Reports are Buju had opted for voluntary deportation before being released and entering back in to Jamaica.
In January 2009, he was arrested at his home in Florida by Drug Enforcement Agents on suspicion of conspiracy to distribute more than five kilograms of cocaine. His first trial ended in a mistrial and he was found guilty after a second trial and slapped with a 10-year sentence. He had one month reduced from his sentence after prosecutors dropped a firearm possession charge against him. Buju was held at the McRae Correctional Institute located in Georgia. Talks of a Buju Banton concert in Jamaica to mark his first performance since prison is in the pipeline. The facts we have so far is the title "Long Walk To Freedom Tour".
