Here is the official word on Buju Banton. Before we begin please understand the information we have compiled in this article are facts confirmed by the official resources. We have posted a video of Buju's publicist Ronnie Tomlinson below. All the information that we feature does not come from Ronnie Tomlinson but a lot of what we are saying here is confirmed in the video below.
 

Let's begin with the release date. The official release date is confirmed to be December 8th of 2018. Upon his release Buju is set to head straight back to Jamaica. I'm quite sure he's going to take some private time to be with friends and family. Gargamel's first show has not been confirmed but we do know it will definitely be in Jamaica some time before April 22nd, 2019.

The tour will be called "The Long Road to Freedom Tour" which the title comes from the book written by imprisoned South African civil rights activist Nelson Mandela. Two shows have definitely been confirmed for the Bahamas and Trinidad. The show in Trinidad is scheduled for April 22nd 2019 and there will be a prior show to that in the Bahamas but the official date has not yet been released. As far as the show in Nassau Bahamas here's a few details that are not official but in The Proposal. The proposed date is March 29th to be held at the National Stadium in Nassau Bahamas the lineup includes a few big name DJs starting with Stone Love, DJ Khalid, Waggy T, and more. The performance lineup includes Wayne Wonder, Stephen Marley, John Legend, Damian Marley, Marcia Griffiths, Gramps Morgan, Beres Hammond and more.
