23-year-old Dancehall artist J Capri was involved in a serious car accident on Barbican road in Kingston, Jamaica during the early hours of this morning.
According to eyewitnesses, the car flipped over during impact and after initial difficulty, a few onlookers safely removed her from the vehicle. She was then taken to hospital, straightaway. A nearby residing witness known as Keisha Firmm commented to a local news outlet: “Mi leave out mi house, because i heard a lot of noise, and everyone was out side, all mi can seh is, there was blood every where, at first i thought it was a bike man”. She continued: "after dem take her out they placed her on the ground, she was ‘shaken up’ mi not even know how to explain it...it don't look good".
There has been an outpouring of sympathy and prayers from her fans and friends from within the dancehall fraternity including Popcaan and Stephen 'Di Genius' McGregor. Eye witnesses report that the artist, who's real name is Jordan Joel Phillips, seemed to be driving alone; Police have since gathered at the scene of the accident.
J Capri had just finished a successful tour of Europe two weeks ago and is best known for her hits 'Reverse It' and sizzling collaboration with Charly Black 'Whine & Kotch' and 'Pull Up To Mi Bumpa' with Konshens. We wish her a very speedy recovery!
