(ReggaeVibeMedia.com) - Acclaimed roots reggae powerhouse Dezarie has made a massive statement in contemporary Caribbean music with the official release of her brand-new 12-track studio project, Power Shift.
Landing via the Goddess Freequency imprint with production steered by ZionLab, the album arrives on the heels of her recent EP 7th Heaven, continuing an unexpectedly prolific and creatively intense run for the legendary artist. Known for her spiritually charged delivery, commanding vocal range, and unflinching social commentary, Dezarie uses Power Shift to dissect structural changes, institutional hypocrisy, and shifting global dynamics.
The 12-song collection wastes no time establishing its weight, opening with the commanding title track "Power Shift" before rolling into powerful cuts like "Rise Higher," "Run Dem," and feature-heavy standouts such as "Petty" (featuring Kushite) and "Hater" (featuring Tizzlah). Across tracks like "No More" and "ToGether", the project maintains an uncompromising sonic architecture rooted in deep meditative basslines, hypnotic chants, and rich organic instrumentation.
Listeners and reggae purists have widely praised the project for capturing Dezarie at her absolute fiercest—seamlessly blending aggressive lyrical critiques of corruption with uplifting spiritual frequencies. As a defining pillar of modern roots music, Power Shift cements her ongoing legacy as an essential voice speaking truth to power.
